Assisted living residence located in the heart of Richmond, Ottawa

What we offer

Care Services

Residential, nursing, dementia, respite, convalescence and end-of-life care, plus healthcare staffing for partner facilities.

Residential Care

Residential Care

Support with day-to-day activities such as showering, dressing, meals and routine medication.

Residential care is for people who need assistance with day-to-day activities such as showering, dressing, feeding and taking routine medication. It is also called personal care or assisted living, and it typically covers washing, clothing, mobility support and similar everyday needs. Residents keep their own routine, their own preferences and as much independence as they want.

Nursing Care

Nursing Care

Clinical oversight and daily support from qualified staff, on site 24 hours a day.

For residents whose needs go beyond personal care, we provide nursing support with medication management, wound care, chronic condition monitoring and coordination with visiting physicians. Care plans are reviewed as needs change, and families are kept informed throughout.

Dementia Care

Dementia Care

Specialist care that reduces the impact of dementia while keeping comfort and routine intact.

Specialised dementia care aims to minimise the impact and symptoms of dementia while providing comfort to both the individual and their family. A change of routine or environment can be unsettling, so we build consistency into every day: familiar faces, predictable rhythms and calm, well-lit spaces designed to reduce confusion.

Respite Care

Respite Care

Short stays for people who need a break from their routine, or a gentle introduction to care home life.

Respite care is an optional service for those who prefer a short-term stay in our care home. Also known as temporary care or short stays, it works well for families needing a break from caregiving, and for anyone who wants to experience what life in a care home is actually like before making a longer commitment.

Convalescence Care

Convalescence Care

Recovery support after a hospital stay, with the goal of getting strength and confidence back.

After surgery, illness or a hospital admission, recovery is faster in a supported, home-like setting. We provide short-term convalescence care with help for mobility, nutrition, medication and rehabilitation exercises, so residents can return home stronger or settle in with us for the longer term.

End-of-Life Care

End-of-Life Care

Palliative support for residents with a terminal illness, and for the families walking beside them.

Palliative care, sometimes called end-of-life care, supports people living with a terminal illness or condition. At Arise Health Supportive Living we believe everyone deserves respect, care and dignity as they approach the end of their life. We respect and understand our residents wishes, and we provide much-needed support to their families.

Nutrition & Dining

Nutrition & Dining

Nutrient-rich meals prepared on site, adapted to changing tastes and dietary needs.

As we age, a well-balanced diet stays essential to physical wellbeing. Tastes and eating habits change, but the need for nutrient-rich food does not. Our kitchen prepares meals on site, works around dietary requirements and allergies, and makes mealtimes a social part of the day rather than a task to get through.

Companionship & Activities

Companionship & Activities

A daily programme that keeps residents connected to each other and to the neighbourhood.

Growing older should mean slowing down and enjoying life in comfort and security. Our activity programme covers gentle exercise, music, faith services, games, celebrations and outings, and we encourage family visits at any reasonable hour. Isolation is a health risk, and we treat it as one.

Getting started

Not sure what level of care you need?

No two families arrive with the same situation, so we do not start with a package. We start with a conversation.

Start an inquiry
  1. Tell us about your loved one

Fill in the inquiry form with a few details about the care needed. It takes two minutes and there is no obligation.

  2. Book an assessment

Call (613) 501-0315 and we will arrange an assessment at a time that suits you, either at the residence or at home.

  3. Receive a written care plan

You leave the assessment with an itemised plan covering the support required, who provides it and what it costs. No waiting, no surprises.

Have a question? We are here to help.

Getting in touch is simple. Call (613) 501-0315 to talk through residential care, nursing care, respite stays and everything else we offer. Our team can walk you through the options, the costs and what happens next.
